JERUSALEM
A JERUSALEM TOUR FOR BEGINNERS
Our journey begins at Jaffa Gate, one of the grand entrances to the Old City, before continuing to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, where millions of Christian pilgrims honor the final steps of Jesus. We will also pause at the Austrian Hospice for sweeping views, before exiting the Old City through the Damascus Gate.
Leaving the ancient walls behind, we’ll experience modern Jerusalem — from lively Ben Yehuda Street to the sights, sounds, and flavors of the Mahane Yehuda Market. If time allows, we’ll also explore Me’ah She’arim, the neighborhood of the city’s ultra-Orthodox Jewish community.
By the end of this tour, you will have experienced the very essence of Jerusalem — a city unlike any other in the world.

A TOUR OF JERUSALEM’S CHRISTIAN SITES

Our journey begins at the Mount of Olives Lookout Point, where Jesus beheld the city. We will pass the Dominus Flevit Church before reaching the Garden of Gethsemane, where He prayed before His arrest. From there, we descend toward the Kidron Valley and enter the Old City through the Lions Gate.
Inside the Old City, we’ll walk along part of the Via Dolorosa, pause at the Austrian Hospice for a breathtaking view, and continue through the Roman Cardo. On Mount Zion, we will visit the Dormition Church, the Cenacle (Last Supper Room), and David’s Tomb. Our pilgrimage culminates at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher — the traditional site of Golgotha and the tomb of Jesus.

A TOUR OF JERUSALEM’S
MODERN SITES
Jerusalem is not only an ancient city of faith, but also a vibrant modern capital. On my full-day Modern Jerusalem Tours, we will step beyond the Old City walls to discover the neighborhoods, institutions, and daily life that shape Jerusalem today.
Our journey begins at the Knesset, Israel’s parliament and the heart of the country’s political life. From there, we continue to the Israel Museum, where we’ll see the Shrine of the Book, home to the Dead Sea Scrolls, and the impressive Jerusalem Model, which reconstructs the city as it looked in the Second Temple period.
Next, we’ll stroll through the winding lanes of the Nahlaot neighborhood, known for its charm and character, before immersing ourselves in the sights, sounds, and flavors of the Mahane Yehuda Market — Jerusalem’s most famous bazaar and a highlight of many Jerusalem Tours.
From there, we’ll step into parts of Me’ah She’arim, the city’s ultra-Orthodox Jewish quarter, for a glimpse into a way of life that has remained unchanged for generations. We’ll conclude our day on lively Ben Yehuda Street, Jerusalem’s pedestrian hub, where locals and visitors meet in a bustling, modern atmosphere.
